Obituary for Donnie Jay Amos Donnie Jay “Squirrel” Amos, 59, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born May 28, 1959, in Anne Penn, North Carolina, to the late John and Hessie Shelton Amos. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Amos is survived by his sister, Debbie Stone; brothers, Gary Amos and Wayne “Luke” Amos; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2018, from 11:00 A. M. to 12:00 noon, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
