Obituary for Robert D. Bennett Robert D. Bennett, 79, of Litchfield, NH died Friday November 16, 2018 at Southern NH Medical Center Surrounded by family. Robert was born in Lawrence, MA on June 27,1939 son of the late Henry V. And Mary A. Bennett and was also predeceased by his loving wife Mary Frances (Newlands) in 2010. Robert graduated from Tufts University in 1961 with a Bachlors in Education as well as receiving a Masters of Education from Fitchburg State University.

Robert worked as an administrator in the Chelmsford Public School System for 41 years as well as the Litchfield NH Police Dept. for 43 years. Among Roberts many passions were: Irish culture, public education, community service, kids – (particularly special needs and disadvantaged), his dogs, reading, cooking, playing cards (cribbage) and traveling the New England Coast with his wife.

Robert is survived by his three children Moire P. Beineid and Michele Bennett of Litchfield and Matthew Bennett of Nashua and also a “Bonus” daughter, Marielle Brown of FL; two sisters, Jean Herwood of Andover, MA and Kathleen Cibos of Seabrook, NH; two nieces; Kelly Hochmath of Haverhill, MA and Lisa Morgan of Chelmsford, MA and a grandson, Gehrig Daniel Bennett. All services are private.
