Obituary for Jolene Jackson Acy Jolene Jackson Acy “Sista” age 59, born on October 24th, 1959 peacefully took her last breath on November 9th, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones and covered in prayer by so many. Jolene was born in New Orleans, a native to Terry Town and a longtime resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Jolene was diagnosed with ALS on January 3, 2017 and fought a courageous battle to the very end.

Prior to being diagnosed with ALS, she retired from the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court after 26 years of service. She spent the rest of her time lending a helping hand to her friends and family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as often as possible and just having fun! Her beautiful smile and caring ways will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her. She is survived by her two children, Jason Michael Rooney and Jeanne Elizabeth Jackson Denning (Patrick) and precious grandson, Nolan Patrick Berry.

Her wonderful parents, John William Jackson Sr. and Shirley Behler Jackson, her two siblings, JayLynn Jackson Wolf (Richard) and John William Jackson Jr. (Ellia). Along with numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Jolene is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lee Acy Jr and brother Jay Paul Jackson, “JayBird”.

Harvey, LA. Services will begin at 9 am till 12 pm Saturday November 24th, 2018. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
