Robert M. Dennis, 82, of Carlson Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Sunny View Nursing Home, Warwick, RI. Born on June 25, 1936 in Chicago, IL, he was the husband of the late Maxine F. (Coutu) Dennis and the son of the late Norman V. and Esther (Cody) Dennis. Robert was a foreman for Victor Electric, West Warwick, RI, for twenty-five years until retiring.

He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Robert is survived by three sons; Derrick M. Dennis, Derrell M. Dennis, Darrin J. Dennis, a brother; Daniel Dennis and four grandchildren; Robert, Justin, Kailey and Karley. He was predeceased by a brother; Norman Dennis.

A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial with US Military Honors will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Warwick, RI.
