Robert Dobson, 94, passed away June 16, 2018. Born in Shenandoah, Iowa, he lived most of his life in the Akron area. Robert served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and retired from Goodyear as a Chemist with over 30 years of service.

He accepted the Lord in his 30’s. He was a member of Stow Alliance Fellowship Church where he was Elder Emeritus and active in the men’s Bible study group. He also was a member of the Tallmadge American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Madonna; parents, A.L. and Pink Dobson. Robert is survived by his son, Robert B. Dobson of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Christin Marie Dobson of Silver Lake, Robert J. (Kim) Dobson of Cuyahoga Falls; great grandchildren, Jason and Hailey. Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave.

(on the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at Stow Alliance Fellowship Church, 4460 Stow Road, Stow with Pastor John Kitchen officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stow Alliance Fellowship Church, 4460 Stow Rd. , Stow OH 44224.
