Robert E. Moellenkamp, 91, of Cheyenne, WY, formerly of Lisbon, ND, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018 at Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness. Robert Moellenkamp was born December 3, 1926 on the family farm in North Dakota. He was the first of four children born to Reuben and Alice (Hanna) Moellenkamp.

He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1945. Robert married Esther Stram on October 19, 1947 and had four children. They lived on the family farm working with Bob’s parents.

They later purchased the farm and took over the operation. Bob retired from farming in 1976. He went to work for Ness Airspray (known later as Sunrise Spraying Service) in 1977 and continued there until 1995.

In 2005 they moved into Lisbon where they lived until 2015 when they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming to live near their daughter. After his retirement from farming they enjoyed 24 winters in Texas and Arizona where they met new friends and had great adventures. Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling throughout the States and flying his Cessna 140.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his three sons, Scott, Randall and Jeffrey. Bob is survived by his wife Esther, with whom he celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in October, daughter Lisa (Joy), sisters Joyce (Charles) Schwartz, Ruth (Gunnar) Fog and Gayle (Roger) Elijah, his grandsons Matthew (Melissa), Joshua, Eric (Angela), Craig (Lindsey) Moellenkamp, Chris (Katie) Fassler and Josh Fassler and eight great grandchildren.
