Robert Edwin Rinehart Mr. Robert Edwin Rinehart, age 84, of Newnan passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Rinehart was born on October 3, 1934 in Binghamton, NY to the late John Thomas Rinehart and Myrtle Elmira Rinehart. He was a member of Union Local 79 as a Structural Iron Worker, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

, and actively attended Crossroads Church. After retiring, he relocated to Newnan, Georgia from Bath, Pennsylvania to be near his family and watch his only grandson grow up. He loved traveling in his motor home known as “PopPops Bus” and being on his pontoon boat fishing with his son and daughter-in-law at West Point Lake; he also enjoyed wood working and good food.

If you asked him what made him happy, he would say being with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0415 of Nazareth, PA. Along with his parents he is preceded by his siblings, William and Charles Rinehart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Rinehart; son, Todd E. Rinehart and wife Jo; daughter, Reneé M. Herr and husband Jeffrey; brothers, Leon Rinehart and wife Linda, Leroy Rinehart and wife Carol; and grandson, Joshua Herr and wife DeAnna. He also had two step-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rinehart will be held at a later date.
