Obituary for Robert E. Gabrielson On Thursday, January 10, 2019 Robert (Bob) Gabrielson Jr, loving husband, brother, uncle and son passed away at the age of 62. Bob was born on November 3, 1956 in Nyack, NY to Robert Gabrielson and Joan Albright-Gabrielson. He was a life-long Nyack resident and attended Nyack High School.
Bob was well known throughout the community as a commercial fisherman, crabber, nature lover and outdoor enthusiast. He worked the Hudson River pulling shad lines and crab pots for most of his life. He learned the love of the outdoors from his father and passed it along to everyone who he came into contact with.
On May 20, 2007 he married his best friend Anne Keefer. Together they spent summers on their boat, where Bob was always at his happiest as captain. His family members will forever remember his contagious smile and hearty chuckle.
He made an impact on everyone he came in contact with and will be greatly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Gabrielson, Sr He is survived by his wife Anne, his mother Joan Albright-Gabrielson, his siblings Rick and Michele Gabrielson, Sandy and TJ Rickli, and Debra and Gomer Morgan, his many nieces and nephews, his two step-children, Katarzyna and Nicholas, and his step-grandson Deklyn Resto.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Hannemann Funeral Home in Nyack, NY from 4-7 pm. In leu of flowers, please send any donations to Joe Raso Hospice Residence. Remembrance celebration forthcoming.
