Robert “Bobby” McJunkins, age 80, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was surrounded by his family, friends and as much love as he gave all of us throughout his life. He will very much be missed by everyone that knew him.

He was always there for his family and friends and brought joy and laughter everywhere he went. He was a man that loved God and living every day in his grace and even though we are sad to have to say goodbye, we know without a doubt he is walking with Jesus in heaven and we have gained a guardian angel. He was a member and deacon of Gregory’s Chapel Baptist Church of Sweetwater, he also had served as a Sunday school teacher for over 43 years.

Retired from Vestal Manufacturing, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Preceded in death by his parents: Richard James and Dora Dean McJunkins, brother: Bobby Kidd, grandson: Coleman McJunkins. Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Clarice Thompson McJunkins, of Sweetwater, son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Angie McJunkins, of Greenback, daughter: Renee McJunkins, grandchildren: Justin Wilson, Ivy and Landon Disney, great-grandson: Ledger Disney, brother: Clinton “Gabby” McJunkins, all of Sweetwater, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Sweetwater Memory Chapel from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Andy Nichols, and Rev. Tony Curtis officiating.
