Gary Lewis Thompson, age 60, of Sweetwater, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. He was a well-known dairy farmer. Preceded in death by his parents: Lewis W. and Eleanor Howell Thompson, brothers: Carl Howell “Pete” Thompson, Joseph Ronnie Thompson, and James R. Thompson.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Armando Garcia, grandchildren: Jordan, Jacob, and Joseph Garcia, all of Canton, Ga. , sister: Zetta Ann Thompson, of Knoxville, sisters-in-law: Linda Thompson, and Helen Thompson, both of Sweetwater, several nieces and nephews. Long- time friend: Lena, of Sweetwater.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 1:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev. David Largen officiating. Interment to follow in the Sweetwater Memorial Park.
