Jaunita Jacobs Ridenour, age 89, of Sweetwater, passed away on March 20, 2019, at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a fourth generation member of First Baptist Church, organist for 60 plus years, a teacher at Sweetwater Elementary for 42 years, a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College and the mother of 4 children. She is preceded in death by her husband: Judge Billy R. Ridenour; daughter: Carla Ridenour Isbill; parents: Henry H. and Josie Jacobs; sisters: Josephine Whitman, Mage Rudd, Virginia “Bugg” Davis Survivors include daughter and son-in-law: Peggy Ridenour Shaw and Norman Shaw (Knoxville); sons: Charles E. and Kathy Ridenour, Henry Ridenour (all of Sweetwater); grandchildren: Tracey Ridenour Prince, Katie Ridenour Hatfield, Michelle Branson, Jennifer Dawson, Ryan Shaw, Lana Shaw, Rachel Ridenour and Will Ridenour; 8 great-grandchildren The family will receive friends at Kyker Funeral Homes on Friday, March 22, 2019, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., with the funeral services to follow in Kyker’s Chapel at 6:30 p.m. with Dr. Leonard Markham officiating.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 10 A.M in the Sweetwater Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Music Program. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater will be in charge of the arrangements.
