On Monday, June 11, 2018 Robert Guimond passed peacefully surrounded by his family. Born on March 4, 1939 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Harvey Guimond and Bertha (Turgeon) Guimond. He is predeceased by his brother, George Guimond and sister, Doris (Guimond) Mundery.

Robert was a navy man, serving the country honorably from 1957 to 1961. His assignments took him all over the country. Upon his discharge from the US Navy, he met his wife, Louise Mary (Delescluse) Guimond.

They married in 1963. They raised their family in Lawrence, moving to Haverhill in 1985. Robert was a loving family man.

He worked for 52 years at Bolton-Emerson in Lawrence until he retired in 2006. Robert’s family includes his wife of 54 years, Louise Mary Guimond; his children Patricia (Jalbert) Call and her husband Stephen of Mont Vernon, NH, Wayne Jalbert and his late wife Linda of Haverhill, MA, John Jalbert of Haverhill, MA and Mark Guimond and his wife Deborah of Easley, South Carolina. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at The Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Ave. , Haverhill, MA.
