Timbrook, 88, of Big Lake, Noble County, died at 11:07 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne where he was a resident since January 9th. He was born January 19, 1931 in Angola, Indiana, a son of the late Ivan and Olive (Telschow) Timbrook. His formative years were spent in Elkhart where he graduated from Concord High School.

On November 29, 1948 he entered the U. S. Army. He served in Germany and participated in the Berlin Airlift. He was honorably discharged August 6, 1952.

He worked for General Tire, Fort Wayne before joining General Electric, Fort Wayne where he worked as a tool & die maker for 31 years. He is survived by a sister, Sandra K. (Terry) Bashelier, Fort Wayne and several nieces and nephews. Additionally, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Timbrook.

The funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne with military honors by the Whitley County Korean War Honor Guard. Visitation is 4- 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
