Obituary for Robert Nogueira Silva LEWISVILLE – Robert Nogueira Silva, M.D., 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday morning, June 25, 2018. He believed in Jesus Christ as his Savior and is now resting in His presence. Robert was born on June 9, 1939 in Brazil and moved to the United States in 1958.

He received his undergrad degree from Columbia Union College and his Master’s in Theology from Andrews University. He then decided to become a Medical Doctor, graduating from University of Monterey at the age of 37. He practiced medicine as a General Practitioner for over 35 years.

Dr. Silva was a devoted physician to all his patients. He took time to know how to best serve them. He loved good food, collecting stamps, watching soccer, playing with his dogs and time with his family.

He was Papa to his grandchildren. He had a big personality and you always knew when he was in the room. He left us with an amazing legacy and we are grateful for how he loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Meridee Greathouse Silva; his sons, Robert Silva and wife, Ann, Elcio Silva, and wife, Mary; and six grandchildren, Taylor Silva, Tanner Silva, Caroline Silva, Kimberly Silva, Lucy Silva and Charlie Silva; he also had two stepdaughters, Terri Jenkins and Michelle Springer.
