Robert Samuel Sweat, 64, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday morning, March 1, 2019 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Robert was born on July 17, 1954 in South Amboy, New Jersey and grew up in the Union Beach and Keyport area. In his younger years, Robert traveled all over the country, before settling in Florida, where he started his family.

About 20 years ago, he returned to Union Beach, New Jersey. Before retirement, Robert worked in the Construction industry. He was predeceased by his parents, John Michael and Susan (Robinson) Sweat, his sister, Sharon Ferriole, and his brother-in-law, Harry Hedglin.

Robert is survived by his loving children, Michael Thomas Sweat and his wife, Kaitlyn, of Matawan, New Jersey, and Patricia Susan Sweat of Union Beach, New Jersey, his dear brother, Jack Sweat, his adoring sisters, Cecelia Hedglin and Susan Valente, and his cherished granddaughter, Tiana. Robert will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
