Buxton-Robert Scott Howard, age 31, died tragically and before his time, in a car accident on June 9, 2018, in Berwick, Maine. Entering heaven with him was his best friend Kevin Clark and Kevin’s 7-year-old son Davin Clark, who fondly referred to Rob as “Daddy Roberto”. Spared, was the love of Rob’s life, 22-year-old K-LA Scott.

Born in Portland ME, Robert attended Buxton Schools. He was a proud Bonney Eagle “Scot” Football Player who loved every aspect of the game. He enjoyed a quiet life and loved fishing and playing disc golf with his large group of friends.

Just being outdoors was good with him. He took after his father, Robert, in his curiosity and interest in “tinkering” on cars and vehicles of all sorts, and he learned to be a mechanic as a profession. Any time you drove in he’d be elbow deep on one project or another, but never too busy to lend a helping hand.

He especially loved fixing up his 1997 GMC two-tone pickup truck. He was so proud to drive that truck around! Robert was a wonderful son to Tina and Robert and brother to Jesica and Angela.

He always looked forward to chasing their little girls Ariana, Leeha, Ah’Rayah, and Mya through the large yard in Buxton. Their joyful cries of “Uncle Robert” just lit up his face with happiness as they’d run around and jump into his arms. For the past several years, Robert enjoyed his job at Allen Signs in Scarborough, he also found love with K-LA Scott.

They adored one another. He found great happiness and contentment in this special relationship and his entire family was so happy for him. Robert is survived by his mother Tina Registe and husband Marko of Portland, his father Robert A. Howard Jr. and his partner Deborah McNally of Portland, sisters Jesica Howard of Athens GA.

and Angela Howard also of Athens, GA. Robert is also survived by his four adoring nieces, Ariana, Leeha, Ah’Rayah, Mya and of course his true love, K-LA Scott of Gorham. He will be sadly missed and forever loved.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave in Portland. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Robert’s father who works for Hammond Lumber would like to thank his coworkers for all the love and support they have been showing him.

It means so much to him. Roberts’s mother is also very thankful to all her family and friends for the support given to her. This support truly helps the family during this difficult time.
