Robert Volpe, 69, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Robert was born and raised in the Little Italy section of Manhattan. He also lived on Grymes Hill in Staten Island, before settling in Annadale in 1980.

He graduated from Interboro Institute, receiving his Associate Degree in Court Reporting. Robert was a Floor Manager on the NY Stock Exchange, working for Pershing & Co., LLC, and he also worked for Dinosaur Financial Group, LLC, retiring in 2009. He truly loved working in the financial industry and would quite often share stories about the stock market with his wife and children.

He enjoyed watching boxing, baseball and basketball with his children, rooting on his favorite teams, the NY Yankees and NY Knicks. Robert had an infectious personality, once you met him, you automatically loved him. He also liked to have a good glass of wine.

Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was the beloved husband of 45 years to Margaret. Loving father to Jennifer Stumpo and Robert and Vincent Volpe.

Fond father-in-law to Chris Stumpo and Melissa and Erika Volpe. Dear brother to Barbara Pietkun. Devoted grandfather to Natalie, Gabriella, Bria and Esca.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019, at John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Avenue Staten Island, New York 10308.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. If so desired, contributions in Robert’s name may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network @ Pancan.org. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Robert Volpe please visit our Sympathy Store.
