She was born September 1, 1976 in Reno to Robert Rambeau of Bishop, CA and Evangeline Rambeau of Yerington. Roberta was a lifelong resident of Yerington and member of the Yerington Paiute Tribe.

My sister, my best friend. Today is the saddest day of our lives. My little sister was taken from us suddenly at only 42 years old.

She enjoyed her hobbies; Native language class with Joseph and craft class. She loved to cook, sew, bead and then give her finished work to loved ones. She also loved shopping, camping, cook-outs, listening to music and hanging out with family and friends on warm summer nights.

Her laugh, her smile, her carefree way and the way she joked around with others will be missed. There is so much to tell about this girl. She was everything to us.

No one will ever replace Berta. There were certain things that made Berta happy but she was happiest with her two dogs (fur babies)- Tip and Jax, these two lil ones will miss her so much and will be searching for her as time goes by. Our sister, daughter, auntie, niece, granddaughter and best friend will deeply and eternally be missed.

There wasn’t enough time to have with Berta, she loved each and every one she knew, she shared her life with each one of us in her own special way and she will forever be missed but not forgotten. Berta was a gift from our Creator – our greatest memories will go on and on and on. Berta was an excellent sister/friend.

Berta spent the last holidays in the hospital fighting to get well and come back home to us. Those that knew Berta best, know this girl was a fighter and she gave all to get well. My heart is heavy with grief for this precious girl.

Until we meet again sister – on the Other side – rest in peace. We love you! !
