Mr. Roger Dale Murphy, age 63, of Decatur, died Thursday, September 6, 2018, at his residence. He requested that his family honor his memory privately; there will be no public service. Mr. Murphy was born March 4, 1955, in Florence, to Dewey Arnold Murphy and Esther Anna (Frank) Murphy.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by one son, Joshua Murphy (Nicole) of Fayetteville, TN; one daughter, Miranda Justus (Tad) of Madison; one brother, Gary Lee Murphy (Paulann) of Killen; and two sisters, Judy Irene Isbell (Phil) of Foley, and Joan Denise Burton (Chuck) of Muscle Shoals.
