Roger Dale Ward, age 74 of Leland, finished his journey on earth on February 19, 2019 at Brunswick Cove Nursing Home in Leland. Born on March 2, 1944 in Whiteville, NC, he was the son of the late Edgar Rackley Ward and Gertie Mae Watts Ward. Survivors include his sister, Melva W. Stanley of Leland; two brothers, Walter T. Ward of Hampstead, Donald Ray Ward of Atlanta, GA; nieces and nephews, Loretta Bell of Elizabethtown, George Hodges, III “Trey” of Clarendon, Adam Ward, Shane Ward, Patrick Ward, and two great-nephews, Kannan Hodges & Jeremy Hooks.

Funeral arrangements are being planned and will announced by Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
