Roger Reed, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019 while at Mission Hospital of McDowell. He was born on February 25, 1953 in McDowell County to Rosemary Ellen Foster. Roger volunteered and served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He had a passion for making knives, and loved collecting things. Roger loved to be outdoors, and also enjoyed hunting. Left to cherish his memory is his loving mother, Rose Foster.

She was his true best friend, and will miss him dearly.
