Obituary for Roman & Betty Burginger Please join the Burginger family at the graveside service for Betty and Roman Burginger, one-time farming residents of Bertha Minnesota. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Bertha, with Pastor Blake Rickbeil presiding. Family and friends may gather at the graveside beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Elizabeth Steinburg Burginger was born on September 13, 1921, in Bertha, MN, to Emil & Caroline Steinburg. Roman Henry Burginger was born on February 4, 1919 in Germantown Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. His parents were Ernest and Emma Burginger.

On September 26, 1945 Betty was united in marriage to Roman Henry Burginger. Roman passed away on July 17, 2015 after almost 70 years of marriage. Roman lived to be 96 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Revelation 2:10 tells us: “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life”. The Lord gave Betty the crown of life on March 4, 2018 at the age of 96 years and 5 months and 19 days. They were blessed with five children, two of which, Judith Ann and Robert Jon, preceded her in death.

They are survived by sons: Steven of Prescott Valley, AZ, Richard (Jane) of Kaufman, TX, Mark (Lisa) of Palm Coast, FL; daughter-in-law, Wilda of San Jose, CA; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Betty & Roman lived in many places, including MN, CA, TX and AZ. They moved to Prescott Valley more than once and Arizona had been their last home.
