Hill, Ronald Dean, Sr. “Deaner”, 88, of Conemaugh. Died July 11, 2018, at Home. Born July 9, 1930, in Johnstown.

Son of the late Solomon and Dorothy (Doubt) Hill. Also preceded in death by wife of 45 years, Beatrice J. (Makin); and half brother, Duane Fresh. Survived by son Ronald D. Hill, Jr., married to the former Kathleen (Jakubac); grandchildren, Kimberly (Joe Resig) Jakubac, Joshua (Ashley) Hill and Emily Hill; and great grandchildren, Aliana and Eisley Resig.

A 1949 graduate of East Conemaugh High School. Member of Conemaugh First United Methodist Church. Deaner was first employed by Hallman Chevrolet for 14 years and then went to work for U.S. Steel for 20 years.

He then was employed by the Laurel Auto Group where he retired with 29 years service. Deaner was a huge fan of high school football and greatly enjoyed fishing, spending time at Glendale Yearound and sitting on his front porch talking to neighbors. The most important thing in his life was family.

Friends received 2-8 PM Sunday and from 10 AM to time of service at 11 AM Monday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Private inurnment at Headricks Union Cemetery.
