Ronald Ray Schlecht, 53, of Ladson, husband of Dawn Walker Schlecht, passed away Friday April 27, 2018. The visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at Parks Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o’clock. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 at 11 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted. Ron was born on Tuesday July 27, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas, a son of the late Wesley and Shelvey Schlecht. Ron retired as a Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Navy.

Ron is survived by his wife Dawn Walker Schlecht of Ladson; son Bradley Walker Schlecht of Ladson, daughters Megan Eller and her husband Scott of Goose Creek, Lauren Jones and her husband Tyson of Beaver, PA, Logan Fitch and Macon Bellanger of Ladson, and son Michael Rutland of Ladson ; 11 grandchildren; brother Ernest Wells of Burleson, TX; sister Teresa Meuli of Goose Creek; mother-in-law JoAnn Gallagher of Tryon NC; sister-in-law Paulette Walker of Hanahan; brother-in-law Frank Walker of Tryon, NC. Arrangements by PARKS FUNERAL HOME, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
