Ronald “Ron” B. Kinn, 79, of Bemidji, MN died unexpectedly Friday, November 23, 2018 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 28th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bemidji with Pastor Robert Wentzel officiating. Interment will be at South Arm Cemetery in Turtle River Township.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27th at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Ronald B. Kinn was born June 18, 1939 in Effie, MN to Bernard and Sara Kinn. Ron graduated high school from Bigfork, MN.

On May 31, 1963 Ron married Arlene Happel. They purchased a farm in Bemidji, MN where they raised three children. When Ron wasn’t logging, farming or working his regular job he spent his time repairing farm equipment and riding his 4 wheeler.

Ron was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ron served as Elder, Church President, School Board and was currently the Financial Secretary. Ron also served many years as Township Supervisor for Turtle River Township. Ron worked for 35 years at Georgia Pacific, when the plant closed he went back to school for sales and management.

He later went on to work at Paul Bunyan Mini Storage until his death. Ron tried his hand at inventing, one of his many accomplishments was his riding mower lift. He loved making quilts for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gordon, Richard and David; sister, Rosemary (Berdine) Olson. He will be forever missed by Arlene, his wife of 55 years; brother, Loren (Teri) Kinn of Bemidji, MN; children, Diane (Caio) Cesolini of Bemidji, MN, Ronald Kinn Jr of Bemidji, MN, Tania (Brian) Kuhrke of Bemidji, MN; grandchildren, Darren (Lindsay) Syljuberget and Cassandra (Greg) Delaney and six great-grandchildren.
