Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Cartel Inns of Tri Cities. Age 77 years. Son of the late Sylvester and Margaret (Porterfield) Wood, Ronald was born October 7, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He married Patsy J. Schultz on November 4, 1961. She survives him. Ronald was a heat treat operator at Saginaw Steering Gear retiring in 2000 and a member of U.A.W. Local #699.

Ronald enjoyed woodworking, golf, playing euchre and restoring his 1950 Mercury. Surviving besides his wife Patsy are three daughters and one son, Michelle (John) McInnis, Kimberly (Pat) Reid, Shari (Pete) King and Chad (Nicole) Wood, all of Freeland; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Clint) Richmond, Jason McInnis, Tyler Reid, Cameron Reid, Nicholas King, Kristen King, Alyssa Wood; a great-granddaughter, Lily Richmond; his sister, Sandra Wood; many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Richard Wood.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 Thursday, February 7, 2019 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
