Ronnie “Chief” Dan Lee, 61, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 14, 2018 at home. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 10 until 11 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.

Ronnie was born in Wayne County on February 27, 1957 to the late Willie B. Lee and Donnie Ruth Holt Lee. He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Perkins and husband, Calbert Lee Perkins Jr. of Angier; two brothers, Larry Lee and wife, Claudia of Georgia and Ricky Lee of Georgia; two grandchildren, Brady Perkins and Josie Perkins and a long time friend Yvonne “Bonnie’ Lancaster of Goldsboro. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by a daughter, April Denise Lee and a brother, Jimmy Lee.

Ronnie was a simple man of few words, had an amazing heart, and a smile for everyone. He was an all-time prankster, and top notch fisherman. Ronnie’s dog Bear ate just as good as he did.

Besides the fact that he never lost a game at the County fair, my favorite thing about Ronnie was that he was my dad. The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
