Rose Cashioli Hansen, 99,of Ft. Myers, FL, died on December 11, 2017 at the Prestonwood Assisted Living Center in Plano, Texas, where she was being cared for at the time. She was born on June 3, 1918 in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a daughter of Dionisio and Mariadonna Cashioli.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hansen, her daughter Donna Hansen, and her nine siblings – Lucille Cortez, Theresa Figlio, Mary Fortunato, Dominic Cashioli, Lawrence Cashioli, Peter Cashioli, Carmel Callas, Florence Ravoira and Antoinette Escalada. She is survived by her two sons, Robert Hansen, Jr. of Lewisville, Texas and Russell Hansen of Saratoga California, four grandchildren, Dr. Robert Hansen III, Tristan Hansen, Laura Hansen and Sarah Hansen, and five great grandchildren. Rose graduated from Mingo Junction High School and Steubenville Business College.

She moved to Washington D. C. where she was a secretary to the Quartermaster General during World War II. She met her husband, Robert Hansen, a Lieutenant in the Navy after the war. They were married in Washington in 1948.

She and Bob raised their family in Schenectady, New York and moved in 1978 to Fort Myers, Florida, where he retired. When in her sixties she went back to work as a secretary for the law firm of Bruce L. Scheiner in Fort Myers, where she worked for over 30 years into her nineties. Friends are invited to a funeral liturgy with mass Saturday 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr.
