Florida…Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church, for Rose H. Scarfo, 97,formerly of Campbell, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 9th. Rose was born January 10, 1921, in Campbell, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Candella Rega.

She was a 1939 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, where she proudly played the cymbals in the marching band. Rose was a homemaker, worked at Weatherbee Coat Factory and was a librarian at the Campbell Library. She was a long time parishioner of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Rose was a member of St. John’s Church Crocheting Group and the Poland Homemakers. She was a strong advocate for getting the Campbell Senior Citizens bus up and running. Rose enjoyed bingo, crocheting, loved to travel and play cards with her family and friends.

Her husband, Joseph J. Scarfo, whom she married July 24, 1941; passed away Nov. 20, 2000. Rose will be deeply missed by her four children; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents; and her husband, Joseph; she was preceded in death by her two brothers; her sister and step-mother. The Scarfo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Family Funeral Home and will receive family and friends from 10 to 10:30am at St. Lucy Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a charity of their choice in Rose’s name.
