Rose Imelda Solomon Hall, February 26, 1936 — April 21, 2018

Obituary for Rose Imelda (Solomon) Hall Rose Imelda (Solomon) Hall of Kerrville, died at the age of 83 on April 21, at her residence in Kerrville. Rose was born on February 26, 1936 in Springfield, IL, the fourth of eight children to George and Imelda (Smith) Solomon. Rose attended St. Patrick’s grade school in Bloomington, IL and St. Francis High School in Springfield, IL.

After receiving nurses training at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL, she worked as an LVN at St. John’s Hospital , Bloomington, IL. In 1968, she moved to Texas where she met and married Marine Sgt. Willie Joe Hall in Corpus Christi.

She and their children traveled with her husband to his various military deployments for nine years. As a stay-home mother she spent her time raising the children and keeping house, including building on rooms for them. When living in Kerrville, Rose worked at Butt Holdsworth Library and Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter.

Rose was a Faith filled person, kindhearted and very generous with her time, talents and treasures for others. Her greatest joy was loving her God and taking care of her children and grandchildren whom she cherished so much. She was member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Chapel in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the childrens’ father, 2 brothers, Joseph Solomon of Uvalde and George Solomon of Kerrville; and 1 sisters, Baby Emily Solomon of Bloomington, IL. Her living siblings are Mary and Frances Solomon of Kerrville, Veronica Sigurdson of WI and John Solomon of Bloomington, IL. She is survived by her 6 children; sons, Willie, Anthony and Eddie Hall of Kerrville, Robbie and Kenneth Hall of San Antonio, and daughter, Rosella Hall of Alexandria, VA besides her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
