Obituary for Rose Louise Potter Rose Louise Roberson Potter, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born on October 31, 1920, in Lonoke County Arkansas to Lee Andrew and Elizabeth Grace Deaton Roberson. She passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 97. Louise was raised on the family farm in Lonoke County, Arkansas where she gained her love for growing plants of all kinds.

She began her education in a one room schoolhouse where her mother, Betty, taught all grades. Louise worked as a bookkeeper for EB and FR Bloom Insurance Agency and Muffler King, both of Pine Bluff. She also worked various retail positions for shops around Pine Bluff.

Later in life, she enjoyed working as a “Demo Lady” giving samples at local grocery stores. Her pride at home was always her garden and yard. Louise enjoyed planting and tending to many types of flowers and plants, as well as harvesting Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans, cucumbers, and watermelons.

She also enjoyed feeding the various birds that would frequent her yard. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominos with friends in Pine Bluff and in Searcy. Louise was involved in many service clubs, activities, and projects over the years.

She co-taught Sunday School class at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers Robert and Joe Henry; and sisters Annette, Kathleen, Betty Jane. Louise is survived by two children: a daughter, LuAnn (Larry) Launius of Searcy, AR; and a son, Larry (Stacy) Potter of Pine Bluff, AR.

She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Christy (Edward) Deneke of Ypsilanti, MI; Jennifer (Bryan) Shank of Searcy, AR; Sarah (Seth) Heird of Benton, AR; and Blake Potter of Pine Bluff, AR; as well as great-grandchildren Alexandra and Westley Deneke and Harper Shank. Private graveside services for the family will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Arrangements are by Powell Funeral Home in Searcy.
