Obituary for Eulas LG Abbott Eulas LG Abbott, age 83 of Joy, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Joy. He was born October 21, 1935 in Hamilton, Alabama to Pilgrim Abbott and Dolly Beasley Abbott. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1997 after 30 years, a Korean War Veteran of the US Army, he enjoyed square dancing across the nation representing the Heber Springers, a retired firefighter from the Joy Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders, a retired Constable for Joy, volunteered at Pioneer Village for many years, an avid motorcycle rider on his Honda Goldwing, enjoyed fishing and camping with his best friend and brother-in-law Jerry Hensley, a Mason since 1968, and he was known for his hugs.

He was a good man, husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Faye Abbott; three daughters, Michele Buchheit and husband Kevin of Fenton, Missouri, Cynthia Clancy and husband Jim of St. Ann, Missouri, Gay Catalano and husband Vic of Overland, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ashley and Malie Buchheit of Fenton, Dominic Cipriano of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sarah Midkiff and husband Alex Tarsi of St. Ann, Katelyn Clancy of St. Ann; two great-grandchildren, Briged and Malcom Midkiff of St. Ann; one brother, David Abbott of Marietta Mississippi; five sisters, Glenda Smith of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Linda Oliver of Fulton, Mississippi, Janet Lewis of Mooreville, Mississippi, Shirley Cayson of Dorsey, Mississippi, and Grace McKenney of Marietta. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Abbott; two sons, Steven Lynn Abbott, Michael Wayne Abbott; brother, R. B. Abbott; sisters, Jewel Triplett and Joyce Ewing.

Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 pm at Mt.

Hebron Baptist Church with interment to follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
