Obituary for Kimberly Blakely Eubanks Kimberly Blakely Eubanks passed away November 30. She was cherished by her family and friends, and her laugh will ring in their ears for the rest of their days. Kim was gifted in math, and not only taught for 25 years in school, but she also tutored for many years.

Her students, including her niece Taylor, were devoted to her, and many studied with her all the way through college. She was talented at knitting and delicate cross-stitching and was a wickedly competitive game player. Although she was shy, she made those she loved feel special with her kindness and also made them happy because of her twinkly wit.

In her young years, she was the Searcy High School Captain of the Cheerleaders, an excellent water skier, salutatorian of her graduating class, and a member of Chi Omega sorority at the University of Arkansas. She loved math enough to minor in it, but she fell in love with Chinese history and went on to finish her degree at the university with a degree in history. Recently she became very active with her new friends playing Mahjong.

Kimberly is survived by a son, Robert Shell Eubanks; her father, Irvin Shell Blakely; two sisters, Kathy Blakely Lightle (Steve), and Ann Blakely Katz (Rob); and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Woosley Blakely. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Searcy Humane Society or the Pulaski County Humane Society.

A memorial service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Searcy. Cremation arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.
