Rose M. Carlson, 98, of Moline, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at New Perspective Senior Living, Silvis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6600-38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31st from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, or to Hospice Compassus. Rose was born on August 10, 1919, in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Fred and Ellen Karlsson Nelson.

She married Curtis C. Carlson on June 27, 1941 in Woodhull, IL. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1992. Rose was a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, and she was affiliated with Zal Caldron, Moline. Rose was a lifelong Cubs fan, and cheered when they won the World Series. Survivors include her Daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” (Jeff) Wieland, Coal Valley; Sons, Steven (Rebbie) Carlson, Hampton; John (Susie) Carlson, Moline; Grandchildren: Jennifer Wieland, Moline; Jessica (Andy) Danek, Moline; Ryan (Berenice) Carlson, Palatine, IL; & Ashley (Justin) Young, Moline; 6 Great-Grandchildren; 3 nieces; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Carlson, Rock Island.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, & 1 brother. Memories may be shared online by visiting esterdahl.com.
