Rosemary Salazar, 66, of Hammond, IN passed away January 8, 2019 at Franciscan Health in Hammond, IN with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 23, 1952 to Guadalupe Guerrero and Maria Gonzales in Laredo, TX. She is survived by her children; John (Monica) Salazar, Jr, Guadalupe (Kelly) Salazar, Catarino Salazar and Alexander Salazar; grandchildren; Jeanette, Lilyana, Catia, Alexander, Ariana, Vanessa and Mason; mother, Maria Gonzales; siblings, Jovita Vargas, Diane DeHoya, Eleanor De Jesus, Josephine Gonzales, Rose Marie Barton and Freddie Gonzales; dear friend, Billy Pineda; many nephews, nieces and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Guerrero; brothers, Frank Gonzales, Jr., Guadalupe Centeno and John Guerrero. Rosemary was a very outgoing woman who loved spending time with her family and friends. Rosemary’s grandchildren were her world.

She enjoyed living her life to the fullest, helping others, cooking for her family, and Betty Boop. She was also a very loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 – 219 980-5555.

Mass Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5304 Hohman Ave. , Hammond, IN on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Rosemary will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends. May God Grant Her Eternal Rest.
