OBITUARY Rosie M Baggerley September 17, 1924 – November 10, 2018 Rosie Mae Baggerley passed away after a short illness on November 10, 2018 at the age of 94. While a resident the past four years at Truecare Living Center in Palestine, Texas. She was born September 17, 1924 in Rockdale, Texas.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents Jimmie W. and Mary H. Stolte Stork of Rockdale, Texas. Her loving husband Thomas P. Baggerley married for 41 years before Thomas’s passing on April 28, 1987. Her son James D. Baggerley of Madisonville, Texas passing on May 7, 2018.

Her siblings, brothers infant Jimmie W. Stork Jr; Ernest Stork of Texas City, Tx. (casualty of “The Great Texas City Explosion April 16, 1947), Emil “Sonny” Stork of Texas City, sisters Lizzy “Nana” Wenzel of Elgin, Texas, Thelma Kirchenwitz of Rockdale, Texas. Rosie Mae was of the greatest generation where family came first.

Born, raised, and married in Rockdale, Texas before moving to Pasadena, Texas with her husband Thomas to raise their six sons. Rosie enjoyed baking and cooking meals for any family members who were looking for a good meal. She enjoyed having a large garden and harvesting her garden.

She kept up with her hometown by subscribing to the Rockdale Reporter. All those weekend trips with her sons to “The Country” in Oakwood, Texas. Rosie enjoyed many trips playing the slot machines in Louisiana especially playing with others money.

Last but not least, let’s don’t forget her daily “Bingo Hour” at Truecare Living Center. Where she had every number memorized on her two cards to this day. Rosie is survived by a brother Emmitt “Shula” Stork of Taylor, Texas and sons Thomas E. Baggerley, Alan R. Baggerley and wife Maria of Oakwood, Texas, Wayne L. Baggerley, partner Steve Moreau of Houston, Texas, late James D. Baggerley’s wife Laine of Madisonville, Texas, Ronnie E. Baggerley and wife Kim of Pasadena, Texas and Dennis P. Baggerley of Pasadena, Texas.

Twelve grandkids Jason, Rachael, Terri, Matthew, Amanda, Robin, Denise, Thomas, Kayla, Michael, Joey, Michelle. Twenty three great grandkids Rachael, Priscilla, Ashley, Emma, Clay, Lonnie, Mark, CeJohn, Tyler, Drew, Andrew, Ava, Brennan, Aiden, Austin, Taylor, Weston, Kane, Oliver, Destiny, Brianna, Amber, Lindsay, and Ryan. Seven great-great grandkids.

Also special consideration to always daughter in law Roxie Forehand, grand-daughter in laws Michelle and Amanda Baggerley. Rosie Mae Baggerley’s immediate family would like to give a heart felt “Thank You” to all of the current and past staff of Truecare Living Center for all of the exceptional care, amenities, and the special love shown to Rosie during her residency. The staff along with the residents are considered a part of our family too.

Rosie was a matriarch of the family known as “Mama”, “Granny”, “Grandma” and will forever be missed by all. May Rosie Rest In Peace with Thomas and James. Viewing and visitation will be November 16, 2018 10:30 am till 12:30 am at Forest Park East Funeral Home 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598 with Chapel Services and graveside services to follow.
