Esther Rosalee “Rosie” Smith, 33, of Hagerstown, MD died on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. Born September 26, 1984 in Frederick, MD, she was the daugther of Anna (Phelps) Smith of Hagerstown and the late Charles Thomas Smith, Jr. Rosie was a graduate of Catoctin High School in Thurmont, class of 2001. She worked as a secretary and receptionist for several local businesses prior to becoming a stocker and clerk at the Goodwill Warehouse in Hagerstown.

She loved animals and had a heart for their care and well-being. She loved to paint and sold some of her artwork online. She was also a music lover and enjoyed attending concerts.

Surviving, in addition to her mother Anna, are sister, Miranda Anne Johnson and husband Robert Davis of Hagerstown; brother, William Smith and wife Angela of New York; three nieces, Mariah, Anastasia and Heather; 2 nephews, Joshua and Charles; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Rosie’s life will be announced at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
