Ross’ Obituary Ross C. King, Jr., 96, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the Sanatoga Center, Pottstown. He was preceded in death by his wife Marian W. (Garretson) King. Ross was retired from the former New Cumberland Army Depot where he worked as a Personnel Specialist.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. Ross was a member, past President and former financial secretary of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #109, Mechanicsburg, National Assoc.

& Susquehanna Chapter of the Destroyers Escort Sailors Assoc, N.A.R.F.E. Chapter 1465. He was a former member of the Harrisburg District Bowling Assoc. , life member of the 700 Bowling Assoc, and a past director of the Harrisburg Bowling Assoc.

Ross is survived by his daughter, Brenda L. Deitrich of Pottstown; three grandchildren, Christopher Deitrich and his wife Michelle of Aliso Viejo, CA, Lauren Deitrich of Newport Beach, CA and Ryan Deitrich of San Francisco, CA. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 11:30 am in his church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 132 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, PA. Burial with full military honors will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
