Roxanne Taylor November 05, 1940 – April 19, 2018 Roxanne Taylor passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Ogden, Utah. She was born November 5, 1940 in Denver, Colorado to George Hubert and Shirley Smith Romans. Her life was full of laughter and love, spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons: Chris and Brendan; three step-children, Kim, Dana, and Brett; and seven grandchildren; her sister, Rosemary Neff of Carnation, WA; and her husband of over 44 years, Tom Taylor of Ogden, Utah. Roxanne grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and Arlington, Virginia. She graduated from William and Mary University with a BS in Economics.

She then joined her parents and sister in London where she attended the London School of Economics. A year later she moved to Paris to work as an au Pair while attending La Alliance Francaise. She retired as a systems analyst after many years of service working for the Federal government.

She has lived in Ogden Valley and in Ogden, Utah for the past 22 years. Tom and Roxanne were active in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden. Roxanne and Evelyn Bertilson started the OUTreach Re Center to serve Lesbian Gay Biual and Transgender youth.

Since inception, OUTreach has grown to include satellite centers in communities surrounding Ogden and has been a model for other re centers for LGBTQ youth in other areas of the country. Her burial will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Huntsville Cemetery located in Huntsville Utah. A memorial service will be held later at 1 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden, 705 23rd Street, Ogden 84401.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden.
