Roy Kenneth Varvel, 61, of Myerstown, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Lebanon on July 22, 1957, he was the son of the late Shockley and Mary Yurejefcic Varvel. Roy had worked at Supreme Industries in Jonestown.

He served in the US Army 38th Engineer Company and was awarded the good conduct medal for exemplary service. He enjoyed camping, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his brothers William and Charles Varvel of Jonestown and Richard and Larry Varvel of Tower City; sisters Nancy Gagne of Conway, SC, Jean wife of William Nelson of Lebanon and Mary wife of Joseph Lerch of Highspire and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth, Ralph and Carl Varvel. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life gathering at the Jonestown Perseverance Social Club, 22 S.
