Obituary for Ruby Mae Turner Ruby Mae Turner of Elmore City was born on August 19, 1924 in Foster, Oklahoma to Isaac Roy and Ruby Lee (Bond) Shirley and passed from this life on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Lexington. Ruby Mae married Everett Turner on September 26, 1942 in Foster, Oklahoma. The couple owned and operated a grocery store and the Phillips 66 Gas Station in Elmore City.

In later years Ruby was a cook at the Elmore City School. She loved to crochet and embroidery. Mrs. Turner is survived by: Sons – James Turner of Bethany, OK; Gary Turner of Panama City, Florida; and Tommy Turner of Yukon, OK Daughters – Glenda Holloway and Pat Norman, both of Elmore City, OK 15 Grandchildren 29 Great-Grandchildren 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her husband Everett Turner and her son Ray Turner.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 02 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City with Jimmy Balentine officiating. Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
