Obituary for Jack Ellis Jack Eugene Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was born to Alton and Flora (Jackson) Ellis on June 21, 1933 in Grandfield, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 21, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. Jack grew up and attended school in Eagletown, Goldsby, and Rush Springs. Jack served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He received his B. S. in Journalism at the University of Oklahoma. On June 30, 1986, Jack married Hilda Taperla in Los Angeles, California. Jack worked as a salesman for I. C. S. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns, Gene Autry music, and basketball.

Jack enjoyed joking with and spending time with others. Mr. Ellis is survived by: Wife: Hilda Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 2 sons: David Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Michael Ellis of Hinton, Oklahoma 1 sister: Alta Willis of Eagletown, Oklahoma 2 grandchildren: Ashley Hunter and husband Josh of Edmond, Oklahoma Kimberley Factor and husband Kyle of Edmond, Oklahoma Nieces: Linda Newrooz and husband Tony of Arlington, Texas Cathy Pettijohn-Russell and husband Ryan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Christy Pond and husband David of Colorado Nephews: Kyle Taperla and wife Jasmine of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Alvin Willis and wife Billie Carol of Wyoming Donnie Stubblefield and wife Bonnie of Elmore City, OK Alton Stubblefield of Elmore City, Oklahoma Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by: His first wife: Helen Buckner, the mother of David and Michael Parents: Alton and Flora Ellis (Elmore City) Sister: Sue Stubblefield (Elmore City) Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Joe Terrell officiating.
