Obituary for Nathaniel W. Wyatt Nathaniel Wyatt, 94, of Elmore City, OK passed away at 6:25 PM, Thursday August 30, 2018 at The Washita Valley Living Center in Pauls Valley, OK. Nathaniel was born July 12, 1924 in Elmore City, OK to Nathaniel and Ruthie (Williams) Wyatt. Nathaniel attended Bryant School in Elmore City, OK until the 5th grade.

Nathaniel dropped out of school to help care for his mother and siblings after the death of his father. Nathaniel married Viola Stevenson in 1946. To this union 7 children were born.

Three of his children preceded him in death as children and one as an adult. Nathaniel divorced Viola in 1963. Nathaniel married Dalphine Prince in 1965.

No child were born to this union. Nathaniel (“NW” as he was affectionately called by his family members and close friends) was a long time resident of Elmore City, OK where he was raise and lived until leaving his childhood home for Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 26 to raise his family and find employment. Nathaniel moved back to Elmore City after his retirement in 1980.

Nathaniel worked for the Greyhound Transportation Bus Company for 45 years. He also worked as a contractor for many of his supervisors as lawn care, chauffeuring and in many other specific area as needed. Nathaniel had dedicated his life to Lord at a young age, but after retirement and the death of his 2nd wife he struggled to find a place to worship.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children (Viola Wyatt-Parker), second wife (Dalphine Prince-Wyatt), 1 daughter (Lena Wyatt-Ellison), mother, father, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 3 children and several nieces, nephews, and other kinfolks. Nathaniel leaves to celebrate his “life” 3 children, Charlotte Prince (Marvin Prince) of Elmore City, OK, Patricia Wyatt of Midwest City, OK and Rhonda Wyatt of Midwest City, OK. Three son-in-law Teddie Allen OKC, OK, Marvin Prince Elmore City, Ok and Eddie Ellison OKC, OK.

Nathaniel is also survived by his grandchildren Alana Knight, Nathaniel Gardner, Valerie Gardner, and Charlette Gardner (Charlotte), Krystal Sturgeon, Kymberly Allen, Tamill Allen and DaVohn Paulden (Patricia), Kyle Wyatt, Koryee Wyatt, and Keyvon Wyatt (Lena) and Colin Wyatt (Rhonda). Two Grand-daughter-in laws, Christina Paulden (DaVohn), OKC, OK and Serena Wyatt (Koryee) Shawnee, OK and one grand-son-inlaw Melvin Moore (Tamill) MWC, OK. Nathaniel is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and other family members.

Nathaniel leaves 3 step children to celebrate his “life”, Larry Colbert, Mary Lois Colbert and Terry Colbert all of Norman, OK, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
