Gentry of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Wade and Molly Gentry on January 11, 1946 in Ada, OK and passed from this life on October 2, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years. He grew up and attended school in Centrahoma, OK. Roy and Charlotte Nixon were married June 18, 2000 in Elmore City, OK.

Roy worked in the oilfield where he was employed by Chesapeake/Nomac. He was an avid Thunder basketball fan and enjoyed times he spent fishing. His role as a grandparent and great grandparent brought him great joy.

Mr. Gentry is survived by: Wife: Charlotte of the home 2 Sons: Kim Thomas and wife Anita of Ada, OK Tim Thomas and wife Donna of Ada, OK Step-son: Lonnie Nixon of Norman, OK 1 Daughter: Lori Turner and husband Alex of Troup, TX 1 Step-daughter: Melody Nixon of Norman, OK 1 Sister: Pauline Nowlin Grandchildren: Crystal Corley; Kara and Joe Jennings of Troup, TX; Madison Turner of Troup, TX; Les Thomas and wife Amanda of Harmony, Tx; Katelyn Thomas of Plano, TX Great-grandchildren: Emily and Victoria Corley, Nate Thomas, James Thomas, Rebekah Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas, Bennie Jennings and Caleb Jennings A host of Nieces and Nephews Mr. Gentry was preceded in death by: His parents Wade and Molly Gentry and by 8 Siblings. Preceded in death by grandchildren Caleb Turner and Breea Thomas Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley with David Paul and Dr. Chris Edge officiating. Interment will be in the Centrahoma Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
