Obituary for George Rozzell George Truman Rozzell, age 69, passed away on October 28, 2018. He was born on May 26, 1949, in Roswell, New Mexico to George and Ruby Rozzell. He moved to Carnegie, Oklahoma at the age of 11, where he remained until high school graduation.

On June 17, 1967, he married Kathryn Morris. Together they had four children. George obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Education from East Central University.

He retired from Pauls Valley Public Schools after many years of teaching Math. He then worked part-time as the after-school program director. George was the voice of the Panthers and worked the clock at both football and basketball.

George was an avid supporter of Pauls Valley athletics and Oklahoma State. He had a love of baking and was world famous for his chocolate chip cookies. He also enjoyed playing games and spending time with his family.

George is survived by Kay, his wife of 51 years, his daughters, Laura Mantooth and husband Sandy Mantooth, Marnie Crawford and husband David Crawford, Amy Erwin and her husband Chris Erwin, son, Ryan Rozzell and wife, Jami Rozzell. He had seven grandchildren, Josh Rolan and his wife, Jessi Rolan, Chelsey Rozzell, Rachel Mantooth, Madeleine Crawford, Mitchell Crawford, Blakely Rozzell, and Addie Rozzell. George’s surviving siblings include Loretta Lippert, Jo Hendricks, Elaine Rozzell, and Ken Rozzell and a host of nieces and nephews.

George is proceeded in death by his parents George and Ruby Rozzell, siblings, Vickie McConnell, Foy Montgomery, and Janice Hayes. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 1, at The House Church in Pauls Valley. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
