Obituary for Mildred Downey Mildred Lavern Downey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly of Garvin County, was born on November 13, 1926 in Garvin county three quarters of a mile west of Satterwhite school. The seventh child of nine Oliver Edwin and Addie Lavern (Rials) McKee. Mildred accepted the Lord in 1951 and was baptized at James Street Baptist church in Ft.

Worth, Texas. She was married on August 17, 1943 at Ada, Oklahoma to Armous Milburn Downey, who preceded her in death. They had one child, Barbara Ann (Downey) Gothard who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Downey is survived by: Son-in-law: Bobby Joe Gothard 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren Mrs. Downey was preceded in death by: Her husband: Milburn Downey Daughter: Barbara Ann (Downey) Gothard Her parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Franklin Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Foster Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
