Obituary for Red Meadows Lewis Samuel “Red” Meadows of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to James Grady and Velma Faye (Ivy) Meadows on July 7, 1943 in Chigley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 2, 2018 at his home in Elmore City, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. Red grew up and attended school in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Army from 1967-1969 and was stationed in Germany.

In November of 1970, Red married Janyce Chaney and together they made their home in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He worked for Shebester from 1972 until his retirement after 32 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, racing pigeons, and was very proficient at eating.

Mr. Meadows is survived by: Wife of 48 years: Janyce Meadows of the home Sons: Mark Meadows and wife Kim of Claremore, Oklahoma Brad Meadows and wife Cherri of Elmore City, Oklahoma Jamey Meadows and wife Sunny of Elmore City, Oklahoma 7 Grandchildren: Cody Meadows, Sierra Meadows, Zachary Meadows, Daisy Meadows, Dakota Meadows, Jadyn Meadows, and Karli Meadows 1 great-grandchild: Kage Meadows Brother: Rev. James Dewayne Meadows and wife Maria of Grandview, Texas Sister: Betty Ann Wood of Elmore City, Oklahoma A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by: His parents: Grady and Velma Meadows 4 Brothers: Vernon Leon Meadows, James Grady Meadows, Willis Huey Meadows, and Jerry Dale Meadows Sister and brother-in-law: Jora Vene Robinson & Jimmy Ray Robinson Sister: Alva Sue Meadows Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
