Rubye Pegues passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the age of 67. She was born January 29, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to George and Gladys Brown. She attended Paseo High School and worked as a master seamstress for many years.

She was employed at Smith’s Upholstery. Rubye was preceded in death by her father George Brown Sr. and her oldest son Steffen Brown. She will forever be missed by her family.

Her husband of 47 years Lang Pegues, son Keith Brown, mother Gladys Granberry, brother George Brown Jr. (Gwen), sisters Doris Tolbert and Linda McNeely, aunt Billye Tolbert (Edward) and Wanda Jean Bradley, 4 grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews an extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Swope Parkway Church of Christ, 5620 Swope Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri 64130. Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery.
