Russell Dean Pedigo passed away on October 20, 2018 in Norman. He was born to Earl A. and Roberta (Webb) Pedigo on July 15, 1954 in Norman. He graduated from Norman High School in 1973.

Russ learned many building skills working with his Dad in construction in Norman. He helped remodel Midtown Plaza and build Normandy Creek Center. Throughout his life, he continued in the construction industry working with others becoming a “jack of all trades”.

He could repair almost anything. He also enjoyed his time working at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore repairing things for resale. After a life long struggle with alcoholism, he became sober and excelled in leadership in the Oxford House and with programs through the Norman Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center.

He volunteered at the Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center as Peer staff. Russ loved OU football, NASCAR racing, his cats, his friends and helping people. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Russ leaves behind his brother, Dennis Pedigo of Shawnee; sister, Valorie Wakefield and husband, Bill of Norman; niece Becca Vermelis and husband, Imants of Norman and children Brantley and Addilynn; nephew, Greg Pryor and wife Megan of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany and children Mackenzie and Zackary. He will also be remembered by many cousins, friends and special friends Liz Smith and Brandi Winblood. A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Oxford House Chapter 4, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, or Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center. Please share memories of Russ at okcremation.com. His kind heart and smile will truly be missed.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
