Russell L. Barger, Jr., of Wallkill, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was 70. Son of the late Russell L. and Margie J. (Conley) Barger, he was born on June 29, 1948 in Newburgh.

A lifelong area resident, Russell proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a retired electrical engineer for IBM, East Fishkill. Suvivors include three sons, Andrew P. (Alexis) Barger of Wallkill, Bryan D. Barger of Newburgh and Chris Barger of Newburgh; a brother, Ronald Barger of Newburgh; nephews, Cody and Eric Barger of Newburgh and seven grandchildren, Bryan, Nora, Marykate, Andrew Jr., David, John and Alexandrea.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Valery in 2016. A Celebration of Russell’s Life will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY. Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
